      Dandelion officinalis (root) is not a medicinal product, it is only a biologically active additive (BAA).


    Composition


    The roots of the medicinal dandelion contain the bitter substance taraxacin (up to 10%), triterpene compounds (taraxerol, taraxasterol, androsterol and others), sterols ((5-sitosterol, stigmasterol), flavonoids (cosmosin, luteolin-7-glucoside), nicotinic acid, inulin (up to 24%), rubber (up to 3%), fatty oil, mucus, etc. The inflorescences and leaves of the plant contain carotenoids taraxanthin and flavoxanthin, triterpene alcohols arnidiol and faradiol, flavonoids, ascorbic acid (up to 50 mg%), riboflavin 226 and compounds of iron, calcium and phosphorus.


    Medicinal properties


    Medicines in scientific medicine are used to improve digestion and increase appetite. Dandelion preparations medicinal have antispasmodic, diuretic and laxative effects, increase bile secretion, and have a tonic effect on the gallbladder.     Dosage forms and use


    INTERNALLY


    An infusion of dandelion roots is prepared in a ratio of 10 g, or 1 tablespoon of raw materials per 200 ml of boiling water, take the finished infusion in a third of a glass 3-4 times a day 15 minutes before meals as an appetizer and choleretic agent;
